Rockstar: We never planned Eminem-GTA movie

In our last post, we found Variety alleging that Rockstar almost yes to a movie project based on the GTA franchise, that was starring none other than Eminem. The project supposedly got cancelled at the last moment, saving millions of innocents like us from cinematic torture.

When contacted, Dan Houser, who is Vice President of the Creative team at Rockstar said that this was all bull and that Rockstar never agreed to any such deal. To find out more on this rebuttal and Rockstar’s current plans for future movie adaptations, hit the jump!

Eminem almost starred in a GTA movie; We thank heavens

Variety, on their new video game blog have revealed that there were actually plans to make a GTA movie; a revelation quite horrid in itself. But even worse, Eminem was planned to be cast in it, probably because of his spectacular performance in 8 Mile and his utterly brilliant singing and rapping abilities.

Rocky VII

While Rocky VII has yet to be officially announced, according to Yahoo, Stallone is looking to continue his comeback streak with 2 more action-packed films! Several scripts are sequels to First Blood and Rocky.

When I first saw Rocky VI I thought it was a classy way to end the series, but if there’s a possibility that the Italian Stallion can comeback, I’ll watch it! Maybe it’ll be Rocky vs. the Middle East. That’d be entertaining.

Since mid-January 2008, I’ve been working on several new projects at my college. One of them has been our TV channel, which was supposed to air last semester. Rather than waiting for the TV club to get their act together, I’ve been going behind them and adding my own video content to the channel. Unlike websites, I’ve never had a huge experience with running a TV station. Ok, I’ve never had any experience running a TV channel. I’d imagine that none of you out there have either.

LucasArts president Jim Ward resigns abruptly

Jim Ward, president of one of the greatest games publisher (and developer, in some cases) announced his departure, citing personal reasons as the cause. He will be quitting in a couple of weeks – quitting the company he had been working for 10 years (with only 4 as president).

“Three Little Pigs” are racist?

Three Little Pigs!

The Three Little Pigs (no, that’s not a band) are in trouble from Becta, a UK Government agency panel that ruled that a digital interpretation of the ancient children’s tale is racist! The statement was described as a ‘slap in the face’ by creative director Anne Curtis. The digital book, which has already won an award was turned down by Becta, which gives away the coveted Bett Award. How can the three innocent little pigs possibly be racist?
