Rock around the clock with Guitar Hero: On Tour

guitar-hero-for-ds.jpg

As if the Nintendo DS wasn’t popular enough, this little add-on should see it score yet more points with fans of portable gaming.

Guitar Hero: On Tour will let you strum wherever you like courtesy of the accompanied Guitar Grip peripheral replacing the guitar from its console counterparts.

As you’d expect, it will feature a huge selection of tracks and will also come toting Wi-Fi for duking it out online, rock and roll stylee.

While it’s a smart move to bring such a popular franchise to the DS it probably won’t replicate the feeling of being trying to be a rock star you’d get with holding an actual guitar.

I guess we’ll find out when it hits stores for around $49.99. Check out the official site for more details, rock aficionados.

StuffWeLike meets Darth Vader!

As if seeing James Bond’s car in the flesh wasn’t enough, look who I happened to bump into at the play.com videogame event on the weekend. Only thing missing was the Lightsaber. Hmmm, maybe that explains the lost expression.

Hit the jump for a closer look into the dark side, and a great polish job.

LOOK, it’s James Bond’s car!

On the weekend, Wembley Stadium-England’s new home of Football (I guess Soccer, for you guys in the states) was packed with some of the latest video games, many of which hadn’t been seen by the public before in Europe, until now.

Courtesy of online entertainment store-play.com- the public and press were given the opportunity to get a look and test games such as Robert Ludlum’s Bourne Conspiracy, Time Crisis for the Playstation 3, Lego Indiana Jones and more.

Be sure to check back for more on some of the games that were on show, including cosplayers, a Rock Band contest and more of the fun that was had.

But for now, check out the car above, which was on display at the show. It’s the actual car that was used in the filming of the new James Bond flick-Quantum of Solace. Looking at it just made me want to hop in and pretend I work for MI5.

The Nixon Murf Watch

nixon-murf-watch.jpg

Style: you either have it or you don’t. Well, these timekeepers from Nixon certainly do. Coming out in a range of colors-they just ooze cool, no matter which finish you go for.

The Nixon Murf watches offer Japanese quartz movement with a retro-looking dial showing hours and minutes and has an LED light, so the night need not rob you off the sight of your new wrist adornment.

The band is stainless steel with the usual butterfly clasp to secure it, as a jealous glance of this watch would make anyone want to prise it from your wrist.

We just love the retro simplicity of the collection, though for something different, the wood flavor looks particularly awesome and a deviation from the usual stainless steel facias to be found on the high street.

Prices range from $300-$350. If you’re just as lovestruck, you can purchase them right:

Big boys toys: Lego MP3 player and iPod dock

mp3_lego-mp3-player-red-and-blue.jpg

Ah, Nostalgia. What a wonderful thing it is reminiscing about the days when we used to play with Lego. Speaking of which, check out this flashback inducing MP3 player from Homade, made from the colored buliding blocks. Well not quite, since they aren’t an official Lego product. Still, they look exactly like the building blocks of our youth.

Read on for the whole collection and the lego-like iPod dock.

Pac-Man shoes from Ben Sherman

Ben Sherman Blinky Shoes

As you may have guessed, we love videogames here at StuffWeLike. But looking at these new shoes from Ben Sherman is enough to get us liking videogame apparel too.

Out of all the gamer gear that’s been kicking about recently-these Pac-Man inspired wear could be one of the coolest looking. They come in black and white, and feature a nemesis of our hungry-yellow sphere shaped friend.

The lone orange Blinky on the front is a stylish touch too.

They are available here for $60. You’d better snap them up before we somone else does.
