Email Sucks

Ever go on a vacation and didn’t have a laptop, Blackberry, or any other device that you could read your email with? I thought it would be fun to go on vacation and escape it all. Little did I know that there would be a massive uncontrollable build up.  400 emails later, I began to write this post without a doubt that email is obsolete and inefficient.

I’ve stored thousands of emails all tucked away in folders and many, many sub-folders. Years later, I’ve come to realize, what’s the point?! Why do I store this information and forget about it?

Email is impersonal. Social networking websites have taken over and writing on someone’s wall is now more important that sending out forwards with hundreds of contacts. See their face, quickly respond, and forget the whole thing ever happened.

It’s great not having to pick out spam and delete pointless messages with social networking sites. I’ve just spent hours going through all of these emails. Random messages, some important while others not so much.

Reality has now come back to bite me in the ass.

Sony says Skype on PSP possible!

Skype on PSP?

If skyping on your PSP was a fantasy you dearly cherished, you will be pleased to know that it has reached fruition. The site for Sony’s upcoming CES showing says that the Skype messaging client will be available for the PSP. This would almost turn the PSP into a pseudo-phone that actually works better than the crap N-Gage!

We don’t have details about it now, but I suppose official word should be enough here. While this is an exciting feature to have for a PSP, the ability to use Skype anywhere in the world from your handheld game system is something worth buying the PSP for!

OK, maybe not. No, we’re not paid by Sony.

Talking Japanese Watch, talks Japanese

talking-watch.jpg

Remember those watches that taught you how to read the time by speaking it. Well here’s a Japanese version.Learning to read the time in another language, especially Japanese can be extremely confusing, so something like this is perfect for anyone heading out there.

While they may not be the most stylish watches around they certainly have their own retro charm, and neon’s mixed with dark colors is in fashion too. If your eyes can stand the brightness you can get one for $24 right here.

Internet Video is Complicated

If you ever wanted a look into the media 2.0 industry here’s a great video from Streaming Media. I love thinking about this stuff. The techie in me screams out in joy when I hear about the future of web video and what needs to be fixed.

StuffWeLike videos can be found throughout the net, but the most important place to be able to find these videos is actually on StuffWeLike. We offer hours of video content, but in many respects you probably haven’t even noticed it. Not that it’s your fault, it’s ours. Our player The Pipeline is constantly evolving to meet users demands. 2008 will be a huge year for us as the player opens up to new frontiers.

But as the title of this post says, internet video is complicated. No service has the ultimate solution. The video below will show just how much people are trying to fix and improve your abilities to find videos. We’re at the forefront of the explosion. I can only imagine that 10 years from now we’ll be at a recession as media 2.0 companies get bought out or go bankrupt due to the over-saturation of the market. Yay…
