Bridesmaids, a different kind of comedy.

Picked as her best friend’s maid of honor, lovelorn and broke Annie looks to bluff her way through the expensive and bizarre rituals with an oddball group of bridesmaids.

After seeing this film I realized that there are a lot of different styles in making comedies.   It has a very different feel to it, and if you are looking for an upbeat light hearted film, this is definitely not your cup of tea.  The combined heartache and dirty jokes mixed with a unique cast of women creates an almost too real environment for viewers.  The movie was well casted, but at points very plain.  None the less Kristen Wiig who plays Annie was very good at the part she was given and Melissa McCarthy seemed to be the comic relief to this some what emotional movie.  At times I laughed but more times just felt bad for the main character as I sat and watched her life fall apart. Yes this is still a comedy because it is funny and if you want a few good laughs then you are on the right track by going to see this, but just be prepared for an unusual type of comedic film.

I would still recommend going to see it.  It has a good ending and is more real then it is a classic stories which makes me have respect for the writers and makers of the film.

Overall I’d rate it 7/10.
