Video games wouldn’t give players a great experience if they didn’t feature a stellar sound design. Gears of War 2 is one of this year’s most highly acclaimed games for the Xbox 360. Epic Games went all out when it went to composing its soundtrack. The score was composed by Steve Jablonsky and recorded with the Skywalker Symphonic Orchestra and Chorus at Skywalker Sound. With a hard voice and an indie almost bluegrass feel to it all, the Avett Brothers are a welcome addition to my ipod. ‘Introducing the Avett Brothers’ is a six song sampler of the group, the tracks ‘Murder in The City’ and ‘When I Drink’ being the best and strongest of the six.
Check these guys- they are definitely worth a listen by anyone.
