BioWare CEO: More Licensed and Original Games coming

BioWare, pretty much a juggernaut in the RPG section of the games industry made waves with Mass Effect, and have no intention of stopping just yet. BioWare is already on a roll with several titles under development, such as the sequel to Mass Effect, their original IP Dragon Age and the unannounced, top-secret BioWare-LucasArts “interactive product” thing.

Ray Muzyka, CEO of BioWare talked in an interview about Mass Effect, working on original or licensed IP and what’s up with Mass Effect with a hint of Dragon Age in the mix. Hit the jump to find out the details!

ATI Catalyst 8.5

 While normally new Catalyst drivers don’t warrant
a comment the newest version do. This is because not
only do they add the usual performance increases for
games in DirectX 9 and 10 but it’s also certified for
Windows XP Service Pack 3. There are also new TV-out
features including a bigger range of HD supported
formats.

Kojima will sign MSG4 covers (only) in London.

 This has to be one of the most odd ideas for a signing on the planet.
Hideo Kojima, the man behind the Metal Gear game franchise with
MGS4 out soon will be in London. Only it won’t be for a quick tour
instead he will be at chain store HMV’s Oxford Street store in London
on (my birthday btw) June 2nd.

UbiDays will be streaming online.

In an event that will speed up considerably the way that
information comes from Ubisoft’s UbiDays event to the net
Ubisoft have announced they will broadcast the press
conference online. All content will be shown on a new website
called uplay.com from Wednesday evening (6PM BST).

Metal Gear Solid 4 – 90 Minute long cutscenes!

It shouldn’t come as a surprise to those who are familiar with the
popular long running game franchise. The cutscenes in Metal Gear
Solid 4 are going to be the longest yet even beating previous editions
in the series with single cutscenes running at up to 90 minutes a time.
