On again, off again.

Hollywood works like that.

Because of the writers strike in Hollywood, Warner Bros. “shelved” their planned big budget, live action ‘Justice League’ movie back on January 16, 2008.

Movie was to be directed by George Miller (‘Happy Feet’) and starred Adam Brody as the Flash, rapper Common as the Green Lantern, and Megan Gale as Wonder Woman. Movie was to be based on the popular DC Comic characters.

But now that the strike is over, the WB has once again given the movie a green light and everyone is back at work including screenwriters Kieran and Michele Mulroney, with production slated to start later this year.

Indie Iron Man Lego is excellent

Iron Man Lego

A guy named Arvo has come up with this masterpiece, and surprisingly, it is an independent work of art, totally unconnected to the upcoming movie. While his eyes look sort of weird, you gotta love the work on his thighs and posture – that’s quality artwork. This is the sort of merchandise you need to pay for, people!

I hope Arvo releases more pictures of this beauty, as well as maybe details about it. (insert Black Sabbath’s Iron Man riff here)

The Spirit Movie, The Set Experience

Will Eisner’s The Spirit

The lucky guys are SuperHeroHype.com were able to visit the set of the new The Spirit movie. If there’s one thing that they noticed it’s that the set is just one big green screen. That’s because it’s cheaper and “stylish” to use green screens than actual sets. It’s the one aspect that I hope the new The Shadow movie doesn’t overuse. I love real sets.

But now that I’ve gotten my fanboyism out of the way, there really isn’t much else to say. It’s a Will Eisner creation and Frank Miller is directing. Since when can a comic book creator direct a film, you might ask? I don’t know either, I’m still trying to figure that out. Hopefully the movie will be worthwhile!
