Ghostrunner

Mirror’s Edge showed us you can have a game that lets us live out our parkour fantasies. But what if we wanted to be a parkour ninja? Well Ghostrunner suits just that. Now we’ve got a sword and can jump all around in first person perspective.

There is something about the first person perspective that brings out an intensity that isn’t felt in other ninja games. When the blood flies onto the screen it feels like it’s on you. You’re basically ping ponging at lightning speed from one enemy to the other. Trying to figure out how to master the kill with that new power up you just received. The frenetic insanity is addicting.

With the Xbox Series X and PS5 you’ll get 4K, 120 FPS, Post-Processing HDR, ray tracing fidelity mode, 3D audio, and haptic feedback on DualSense 5 controllers. So obviously it looks great! If you only have the PS4 and Xbox One you will have access to the next-gen versions as well that feature Wave Mode and accessibility-focused Assist Mode.

Bright Memory

As the story goes Bright Memory is an indie game made by one person in China. As you’ll see from the trailer the work is impressive.

Bright Memory is an intense over the top first person shooter. You’ll spend the time switching between shooting and melee attacks. Every now and then there’s a puzzle to figure out before you can move onto the next battle.

Sadly the game itself is short and you’ll probably beat it in a couple hours. The visuals are cool enough to make you want to play it all the way through. If you get Bright Memory on the Xbox Series X you’ll be able to enjoy it all at a smooth 60fps.

WRC 9

Get ready for a car race full of challenge and artistry. There’s a reason why not everyone can be a professional rally driver. WRC 9 will confirm that you should stick to your day job.

Impressively WRC 9 has almost 559 miles of road to race through. With diverse locals such as Japan, New Zealand and Kenya. The tracks are cramped, but the vistas are a beauty. If you make the slightest wrong twitch of the stick you’ll quickly find yourself falling off cliffs, or flying through the air after hitting a boulder.

You will be able to enjoy WRC 9 on both the Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X at a new 4K 60FPS. The extra frames should help your mastery of the course.

As they say practice makes perfect and that’s what you’ll be doing in WRC 9.

NBA 2K21

NBA 2K21 is the cleanest basketball game out there. With the power of the Xbox Series X or Playstation 5 you question whether or not this is a real life game. There are 150 AI powered characters from reporters, to fans, and vendors. The realism is on a whole new level.

It’s also great to see NBA 2K21 expanding the WNBA experience allowing you to create your own fully customizable WNBA player. You’ll compete with 12 WNBA teams. Also there’s The W Online which has 3v3 MyPLAYER competition.

The soundtrack is huge as well with 350 tracks to listen to.

Specially for next-gen consoles you’ll get a crazy mode called The City. It’s like a MMO dedicated to basketball. It’s a living breathing city that only cares about that one thing. It’s really trippy to see such a detailed experience inside a basketball game. I do think this is where most die-hard fans will find themselves spending tons of hours playing.

NBA 2K21 expands the realm of basketball games to new heights making players feel more on the court than ever before.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War

Ready for the best Call Of Duty game? The series has seen tons of action and explosions, but being set during the Cold War makes the Black Ops Cold War single player stand out. You’ll bounce around through time, go to war, sneak around urban cities, and so much more. I played Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War on my 4K OLED TV with surround sound and let me tell you the graphics are insane. The lighting is amazingly well crafted. I absolutely loved playing Zombies in surround sound as you’ll hear the zombies from all directions. It’s terrifying.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is the kind of game that you’ll want to witness running on the Xbox Series X or Playstation 5 just to see the graphics pop off the screen even more so.

This month marks the arrival of the Xbox Series X and Playstation 5. You’ll be happy to know that if you buy the Xbox One or Playstation 4 version of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War you’ll be able to play them on the newer consoles as well. If you buy a disc based version of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War make sure you have a disc based next-gen console.

Once you’ve played Black Ops Cold War you’ll be in luck when you play Call of Duty Warzone. Your progression in both games as well as Modern Warfare will be synchronized. Starting December 10 Black Ops Cold War weapons will become available in Warzone.

Black Ops Cold War adds tons of new features for multiplayer. A new mode called Fireteam supports up to 40 players who team up to fight and complete objectives. Multiplayer also supports cross-platform and cross-generation play. So you’ll be able to play with your friends no matter what system they use.

Any fan of Call of Duty will love Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
