Mirror’s Edge showed us you can have a game that lets us live out our parkour fantasies. But what if we wanted to be a parkour ninja? Well Ghostrunner suits just that. Now we’ve got a sword and can jump all around in first person perspective.
There is something about the first person perspective that brings out an intensity that isn’t felt in other ninja games. When the blood flies onto the screen it feels like it’s on you. You’re basically ping ponging at lightning speed from one enemy to the other. Trying to figure out how to master the kill with that new power up you just received. The frenetic insanity is addicting.
With the Xbox Series X and PS5 you’ll get 4K, 120 FPS, Post-Processing HDR, ray tracing fidelity mode, 3D audio, and haptic feedback on DualSense 5 controllers. So obviously it looks great! If you only have the PS4 and Xbox One you will have access to the next-gen versions as well that feature Wave Mode and accessibility-focused Assist Mode.
