WAMA Men’s Hemp Boxer Brief Review

My journey into hemp based products has now brought me to the nether-regions. WAMA Underwear started as a Kickstarter project with the goal to introduce men and women to hemp underwear. The vast majority of us probably have cotton, but its time to evolve.

At first, a lot of questions ran through my mind. Would the hemp underwea

r be too hot? Would the texture be rough? Would I like wearing boxer briefs instead of classic briefs? Not hitting any of these marks would automatically make it hard for me to recommend these hemp underwear even if they are better for the environment.

The minute you feel WAMA Men’s Boxer Brief you’ll notice how soft they are.  I didn’t have to stretch them out to fit them in either the waist, crouch, or leg area.  I didn’t feel too loose down there, I feel the proper amount of support and comfort as they wrap around my butt and legs as if someone is lightly holding onto them. I definitely don’t have this feeling when I wear my classic briefs or boxers. At 6’1″ 175lbs, I’m a size 34 so the WAMA Men’s Hemp Boxer Brief size for me is an XL, so they may run just a tad small.

The fabric mixture is 53% hemp, 44% organic cotton, 3% spandex. This all helps form its shape, stretch-ability, and texture.

The look of the WAMA Men’s Hemp Boxer Brief is another plus. It seems like they deeply thought about style when designing this product, which is interesting because this is underwear and is rarely seen. Of course you’ll want to show it off as it looks great and being made from hemp is definitely a conversation starter as there are many benefits to having hemp in clothing. Some are environmental such as hemp uses less water than cotton and does not require chemical pesticides or fertilizers. Other benefits directly effect our bodies as we wear it. It’s anti-microbial, has UV protection, and is breathable. As it wicks moisture away, I felt cool and less sweaty in the crouch which makes it pretty ideal for exercise.

Bottom line is that WAMA Hemp Boxer Briefs are a perfect design and fit that will add sexiness to your underwear collection while being environmentally friendly.

Lethal Weapon: The Complete First Season – Blu-ray Review

“Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the Blu-ray I reviewed in this Blog Post. The opinions I share are my own.”

A super addition to the buddy cop genre, 1987’s Lethal Weapon helped elevate the tried and true concept of two mismatched partners to a new level of storytelling, action, and character complexity. Starring Mel Gibson and Danny Glover as Riggs and Murtaugh, Lethal Weapon was a powerhouse of the genre, spawning three successful sequels and influencing filmmakers and screenwriter for the past three decades.

It’s no wonder that thirty years later, the Lethal Weapon brand is still going strong and is now back as a weekly action-packed series baring the originals name. While Gibson and Glover have been replaced by Clayne Crawford and Damon Wayans, respectively, the energy and chemistry between the two mismatched cops is still ever-present and the series allows for even more character growth than the successful four film franchise.

If you’re a fan of the original Lethal Weapon, you know the basic backstory of the characters from the film, but what helps the series steer itself into a different direction than the movie are slight alterations to the backstories of both main characters that helps give a fresh perspective to the familiar. Yes, Riggs is still a maverick and a wild card, and Murtaugh is tightly wound and more by-the-book, but within the context of a series, these characteristics are played out even more and built upon with each successive episode and case.

As a huge fan of the movies myself – Lethal Weapon 2 is my favorite – I, like many people, questioned whether or not a series based on the films would work. I can say without hesitation that it does! There’s still the fantastic chemistry between not only the characters but the leads as well, and the action is just as over-the-top as in the films. And while the series does have the standard case-of-the-week feel to it, with Riggs and Murtaugh involved it’s sure to be anything but a standard investigation.

The season one Blu-ray includes the following Special Features:

Extended Pilot (Uncensored)

All-New Featurette: Reloading Lethal Weapon

Deleted Scenes

Gag Reel

With its solid leads and great supporting cast that includes Keesha Sharp (American Crime Story; Marshall), Jordana Brewster (American Crime Story; The Fast & Furious franchise), and Johnathan Fernandez (Bull; Girls), Lethal Weapon is that rare film-to-TV reboot that actually works. I highly recommend it!

Swell Vision’s Bambo Fiber Boxers Review

When you wear something that feels so good you don’t even notice  you’re wearing it, life is officially GREAT, in my humble opinion. This is especially true when you’ve got a little something in the nether regions. My experience wearing Swell Vision’s Bambo Fiber Boxers reminded my of how Flanders felt in The Simpsons…

It’s simply crazy how soft these boxers feel. They’re made of 95% bamboo rayon and 5% spandex. So they stretch when needed, feel smooth and cool to the touch. I do think the biggest selling point for most guys will be that you won’t feel hot down there, but you never feel an uncomfortable cold. It’s just the right amount of coolness.

Since these boxers are made from bamboo they are several factors that stand out from typical fabric. Bamboo itself grows fast and uses little water. So this creates a fabric that is environmentally friendly to harvest. Bamboo fibers help fight odor on several fronts. They will wick moisture and allow it to escape as the fiber is very breathable.

If you’re one of those people that likes walking around in only your boxers then you’ll also like this next design feature. Swell Vision has created what they call a Smart Pocket. It’s large enough to put a couple items like cash, cards, and maybe even some keys. At first I was worried that with nothing in the pockets this extra piece would get in the way as I was walking around town, but I never even noticed it. It’s like it disappeared as I went about my life.

Of course that’s all great, but the design is where the party begins! There are six fun designs to choose from. I got campfire because I bring the heat to the party. There’s also shark, mountain, cannonball, moon and stars, and for those of you who want something more simple a solid black color is available as well.

By now you know that I love these boxers. If you like wearing boxers you’ve probably have never worn ones that felt like this. Try them out and let us know what you think in the comments section below!

Sanuk Hemp Sidewalker Surfer Review

Sandals and flip-flops are my enemies. I’ve tripped, slipped, and simply fell on my ass. Sure this can all happen with a regular shoe, but it’s less likely. Sneakers have better grip and protect your foot. Of course you look like a dork wearing sneakers on the beach it’s just what I did, until now!

Sanuk’s Sidewalk Surfer is a sandal/shoe hybrid. The bottom piece is similar to a sandal while the top is like a shoe. You put the Sidewalk Surfer on and your shoe won’t go flying off like a sandal. You won’t get those rubber burns on the top of your foot. You won’t hear that annoying click-clack sound of the sandal hitting your foot as you walk. Your foot is more protected from the elements and people stepping on your toes.

We usually wear sandals on the beach because they get wet and they get sand on them. Sandals dry fast and are easy to get sand out of them. If you get the Sidewalk Surfer it will take longer to dry, but no where near as long as a sneaker. It’s a single layer of fabric that is getting wet so you won’t feel sopping wet. With the bottom piece being very similar to a sandal removing debris is practically just as easy.

What stuck out to me about the Sidewalk Surfer is that this particular model is made out of hemp. It’s cool to know that you’re walking around with a sturdy eco-friendly material that will hold-up over time.

When I first tried on the Sidewalk Surfer, I knew that I could go anywhere with these shoes. They’re super comfortable both with socks and without socks. Walking around town, going to the gym, driving in the car the Sidewalk Surfer did its job. I forgot that I actually wasn’t wearing a sneaker. I can wear these shoes for hours on end. I’ve never been able to do that with sandals.

I went into trying these shoes out thinking that I’d wear them only at the beach or for taking out the trash, but as it turned out that is just the beginning of my adventure with these shoes.

The Flash: The Complete Second Season – Blu-ray Review

“Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the Blu-ray I reviewed in this Blog Post. The opinions I share are my own.”

What events from your past do you wish you could change? What would you do differently? How do you think that would affect your life in the present day? For Barry Allen/The Flash (Grant Gustin), this isn’t just wishful thinking; it’s a reality. A reality that has taken him from tragic backstory a happy world with both parents and a positive outlook on life.

Or is it?

After speeding back in time to prevent the murder of his mother by Reverse-Flash (Matt Letscher), Barry finds himself in an alternate timeline known as Flashpoint. Things and people in Flashpoint look the same, but this alternate reality soon begins to affect Barry in strange ways. While he’s happy to have his mom back, was it worth the toll the reversal is taking on him and his powers? And who’s this other guy protecting Central City?

As Barry struggles to maintain familiar-to-him-but-new-to-everyone-else relationships with his friends and colleagues, it soon becomes clear that what he’s done by creating Flashpoint has created implications and complications that he never foresaw. Will his return from Flashpoint reverse all that he’s done? Or has he forever altered the lives and events of everyone and everything in Central City?

The Flash is a fast-paced and fun series that does a great job in the third season expanding Flash’s universe and creating new complications for Barry and his friends. The Flashpoint storyline definitely adds a new layer of complexity to the narrative as Barry’s friends start to feel the effects of the alternate universe even after Barry’s return.

It’s a solid season with a solid cast that includes cameos by Green Arrow, Supergirl, and the Legends of Tomorrow in a huge four part cross-over multi-episode event (only part one is featured on The Flash. The other parts can be seen on Supergirl (Season 2), Arrow (Season 5), and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow (Season 2))! And, of course, don’t miss the musical episode, “Duet,” featuring Supergirl and Glee‘s Darren Criss as the Music Meister!

The Third Season of The Flash is loaded with fantastic Flash-centric features, that include:

Ash vs Evil Dead: Season 2 – Blu-ray Review

What’s your hometown like? Is it a place filled with happy memories of your childhood? A place where your parents still live and you feel embraced? Is it a place filled with places you used to go with your friends on summer nights? Well, if you’re name is Ash and you fight Deadites for a living – despite your reluctance to do so – you don’t have any of these things. In fact, Ash’s hometown is about to become much more of a nightmare than it was when he left over 30 years before.

Welcome to Season 2 of Ash vs Evil Dead where we find our swaggering one-armed hero (Bruce Campbell) headed back to his hometown if Elk Grove, Michigan to do what he does best; whether he likes it or not. He’s on a mission to once again stop not only Deadites, which have popped up once again despite the truce he a Ruby (Lucy Lawless) made at the end of last season, but her evil children, and host of other demonic creatures as well. Luckliy, Ash has his partners in gore to help him fight the horrors that await them.

Get ready for one bloody, gory, disgusting, and hilarious good time as the one-liners and guts fly with reckless abandon over the course of the season. There’s a reunion of sorts (remember Henrietta Knowby from the first Evil Dead movie?), an evil puppet named Ashy, and a fight in a morgue that is as disturbing as anything I’ve seen on TV in a while (I highly recommend not eating while watching this show).

Watch as Ash, Pablo (Ray Santiago), and Kelly (Dana DeLarenzo) battle for the fate of the Necronomicon and the soul of Elk Grove. Will their efforts pay off? Or will they, too, end up in bloody pieces like so many of their Deadite kills?

There are LOTS of great bonus features to accompany your viewing of Season 2. These include:

Season 2 First Look
A brief intro to the upcoming season.

Inside the World of “Ash vs Evil Dead
Featurettes analyzing the events of each episode with the cast and crew.

Up Your Ash

Women Who Kick Ash
A look at the kick-ass ladies who populate Ash’s world.

Puppets are Cute
Find out what went into bringing Ashy to evil life.

Dawn of the Spawn
Insight into the design and execution of Ruby’s demon children.

Bringing Henrietta Back
A reunion 30 years in the making. See how they made Ash battle one of his oldest foes.

The Delta
The 40 year history of director Sam Raimi’s/Ash’s car: the 1973 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale.

How to Kill a Deadite
An insiders guide on how to take care of business one bloody Deadite at a time.

Fatality Mash-up
A quick cut compilation of the many kills throughout the season.

If you love your horror with a healthy helping of comedy, then I highly recommend Ash vs Evil Dead: Season 2. It’s great entertainment!
