Capcom’s wildly popular fighter is getting an update on its latest addition to the series. The new game, with the surprisingly short title, Super Street Fighter IV, will feature 8 new characters, and tweaks to the game based on developer and player comments on the game.
The 8 characters aren’t fully known, but three are. Dee Jay and T. Hawk, who both first appeared in Super Street Fighter 2, and newcomer lady fighter Juri are the first three announced.
While no price is specified, producer Yoshinori Ono says that the choice for a new game rather than a DLC pack or patch is based on the number of changes and additions, but it will not be sold at the full price. He further mentions that owners of both are in for a, as of yet, unknown treat.
No specific release date is announced, but expect Super Street Fighter IV to be released spring of 2010 for the PS3, 360 and PC. If this trend occurs, we just might have another Street Fighter IV remix by the end of 2010, possibly inching closer to the redicu-long titles like Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix
