Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe!

Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe

While competing franchise Soul Calibur roped in Yoda and Darth Vader and roster, Mortal Kombat has decided to go extreme by tying in with none other than the DC Universe itself. While this was supposedly rumoured to be in the past, fansite Mortal Kombat Online has hard facts on this, as well as the poster you see above.

Amusingly, the site mentioned on the poster appears to be dead as of this writing.

Production on Mr. Lifeless resumes – and The Famous News Reporter Fall is Introduced

Mr. Lifeless episode 4

In infamous StuffWeLike action-packed web series Mr. Lifeless has gone back into production. The series took a detour off our radar screen after the last episode was released on October 6, 2007!

I’m really thrilled about releasing episode 4. It’s going to change the “lifeless” universe forever! More news on its release date is coming soon.

Earlier today, I also helped film a news production video for a friend. Mr. Lifeless actually made a guest appearance in the program. However not everything went according to plan. An accident occurred while filming and well you can see it for yourself below:

[UPDATE]
Mr. Lifeless episode 4 is complete and all the episodes have been compiled into this video:

The Makool Moustache Comb: tidy those loose whiskers

swl-moustache-comb.jpg

Now here’s a sight we don’t see much these days. It’s a bloke combing his moustache…with a comb!

In fact, have moustaches ever really taken off for young people? I suppose there’s the Justin Timberlake beard/tache combo, and Jonny Depps fine example of a whiskered man but that’s about it for popular influences.

If, however you decide to go the way of the furred lip then you could do worse than the Makool moustache comb, priced at $120.

If the sight of a man combing his beard with a comb is not one of true manliness, then I just don’t know what is. I just don’t.

Military Exoskeleton-Robocop of the future?

swl-military-exoskeleton.jpg

It’s amazing how many cool things from movies about the future have come true such as motion-sensing technology, touch-screen monitors, and even things like having robotic pets such as Sony’s Aibo Dog.

Now it looks like another may come true thanks to the U.S military because they are developing an exoskeleton that will give the wearer superhuman strength.

The Sims 100 million sold

The Sims logo

Talk about an addiction, gamers world-wide love their Sims! Electronic Arts has announced that The Sims has sold over 100 million units since its launch in February 2000. This is the second franchise to cross the 100 million mark, the first being the Mario franchise. The Sims is not only the #1 selling PC game of all-time, it’s also #2 selling global game across all platforms.

The third Sims title will be launching in 2009. After 7 expansions, the question that remains in my head is, is it possible for this franchise to jump the shark? I would have said this series did long ago, but apparently there are millions of gamers both male and female that disagree with me. Personally I’d rather be spending my time building and destroy cities than controlling lives in a virtual form. 😉
