Wondering whether or not this movie will be your forte? I know I sure am. Thankfully we have the first 7 minutes of the film so judge for yourself!
Personally I’m already nauseous.
There are only a handful of video games in my mind that would make for a stellar movie experience. Other than Shenmue, one of them is Bioshock. The rich and beautiful world is coming to the big screen thanks to Universal Pictures. Gore Verbinski who is the Director of Pirates of the Caribbean is going to Direct/Produce this Bioshock film! John Logan, Academy Award-nominated writer of Gladiator, The Aviator and Sweeney Todd, is in talks to do the screenplay. That’s some high caliber talent.
Obviously Take-Two and Universal are taking this film very seriously unlike Universal’s failed video game based film DOOM. Currently no release date was revealed. Bioshock 2 the video game is being released in 2009.
