Sometimes there are things that just make you smile. Even though the URL has been
around for so long we can’t remember when it was announced thanks to another website
that has changed. First to the site URL.

Metal Gear Solid Retrospective

With all the hype of Metal Gear Solid 4 and its soon to be released status sometimes its

Family Gamer

First a little Family Gamer business; while clearing the office out, ready for its transformation into Ollie’s room, I discovered some Nintendo games to give away. Bioshock: The Movie

There are only a handful of video games in my mind that would make for a stellar movie experience. Other than Shenmue, one of them is Bioshock. The rich and beautiful world is coming to the big screen thanks to Universal Pictures. Gore Verbinski who is the Director of Pirates of the Caribbean is going to Direct/Produce this Bioshock film! John Logan, Academy Award-nominated writer of Gladiator, The Aviator and Sweeney Todd, is in talks to do the screenplay. That’s some high caliber talent.

Obviously Take-Two and Universal are taking this film very seriously unlike Universal’s failed video game based film DOOM. Currently no release date was revealed. Bioshock 2 the video game is being released in 2009.
