Head on in to find out when they hit stores – and what other shooters are coming out next year.
Crysis 2, initially expected to release late this year, was pushed forward to 2011 when Crytek announced that the game isn’t so easy to make after all. That, and they probably were attacked by aliens and the North Korean army. After hitting the button for ‘MAXIMUM DEVELOPMENT’, they’ve announced that Crysis 2 will be releasing March 22, 2011 in North America, and March 25, 2011 in Europe.
Once you’re done playing Crysis 2 about 4 times, you’ll have Rage on the plate, coming hot from id Software’s labs on September 13, 2011 in North America and then in Europe on September 15, 2011. This one should be interesting, given that id Software hasn’t released a single full, original game since Doom 3, which came out all the way back in 2004. Does the grandaddy of FPS gaming still have what it takes to go up against the likes of Irrational, Valve or Infinity Ward? Actually, cancel that last one.
