It’s funny because GE included all of these pop-culture robots in this commercial – however they excluded the T-800. I mean I guess we really would have felt threatened by this commercial even more so than we already are. It’s a fun walk down memory lane, but seriously GE it looks like you’re turning into the next Cyberdyne Systems.

The one massive disappointment in this video is that it looks like they try to reference Short Circuit. Last time I checked Johnny Five looked pretty different then the robot that we saw rolling through the video. Maybe they didn’t feel like paying for the rights or with a new Short Circuit film in the work that will feature a new version of Johnny Five – maybe the studio involved didn’t want to license his old robotic design.
