Once Upon a Time: The Complete First Season – Blu-ray Review

Great! Another show for me to get hooked on. That’s exactly what happened with Once Upon a Time, the ABC series from two of the writers from LOST, Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz. It’s an intriguing and oftentimes mesmerizing series that plays with the conventional fairytale archetypes we’ve all grown up with and gives them a 21st century twist.

I really like the juxtaposition of the modern and fairytale worlds throughout the series. The use of this storytelling technique adds an extra level of suspense and intrigue to the series as whole. It also enables the writers to have plenty of material and the actors to have a heckuva lot of fun playing more the same character but in different places.

What does that mean? You’ll have to watch and find out. But there’s plenty of interesting stuff going on within the world of Once Upon a Time that will keep you coming back for more. It’s clever, creative, and fun!

The season one Blu-ray is loaded with special features, which include:
