DreamCatcher Relaunched, Painkiller Sequel On The Way?

People Can Fly, are you listening?

After acquiring JoWood, Nordic Games has announced that they will be relaunching the DreamCatcher publishing label, who have access to the Painkiller franchise of games. So far, the franchise consists of the core game, an expansion pack, a sequel, a spin-off and an add-on.

But the return of DreamCatcher could point towards a better, full-fledged sequel to the original. The CEO of Nordic Games, Lars Wingefors has definitely said that they will be looking through DreamCatcher’s back-catalog to bring out sequels for the label’s bestselling titles. Painkiller would be a part of this motley group, no doubt.

The original was developed by Polish studio People Can Fly, who are now a subsidiary of Epic Games and last developed the pretty well-acclaimed Bulletstorm for them. Will they be brought back as devs for the sequel? Mysteries abound!
