Don’t want to read? Well the Amazon Kindle Fire has a variety of options for you.
Earlier today Amazon announced the Kindle Fire imagine a touchscreen tablet priced at $199. Now there’s a reason why this tablet is so cheap, Amazon cut out the fat of a camera, microphone, 3G, and squashed the screen down to 7-inches.
It does contain a dual-core processor and multi-touch IPS display, weighs 14.6 ounces, and includes a new web browser called Amazon Silk.
Clearly this looks like it’ll be a tablet that is not going to be for everyone. It’s a tablet that cuts out the fat, and hopefully makes it simpler to use and consume content that you want.
I can’t imagine that this is a iPad killer, but what it does is open up the market place to a low cost tablet that hopefully works well.
