The new season of Law & Order: Criminal Intent starts tonight at 9/8c on USA. While Vincent D’Onofrio and Karthyn Erbe (Detectives Goren and Eames) are the only series regulars to remain on the series for the past seven seasons, a new but familiar face joins the cast this time around: Jeff Goldblum.
For fans of the Law & Order family of series, you know the drill. Characters leave, characters return, characters die, others just vanish without an explanation. It’s the Law & Order way.
Questions continue to rise about the fate of Special Victims Unit and the original Law & Order this coming Fall, since Jay Leno’s new show will be on five nights a week in the 10pm slot. Will this mean these other two will find a new home on USA like Criminal Intent?
Tonight’s premiere looks to be another solid entry into the Law & Order canon as Goren becomes personally involved in a case that becomes more than a little intense. A definite must-see for fans of the series.
