Sorry but the if you’re trying to develop the game of your dreams and it’s your first title – you’re probably going to fail. I highly recommend that you first cash in on the casual games market. Make your game original, simplistic, and addictive. Once you have a couple of casual games under your belt, you can begin your dream game. Be aware that your dream game could take years to complete, especially if it’s complex. But since you already have titles under your belt, it should be easier to find professionals who are willing to help out on your project.
To many extents I regret working on The Divine as I’ve already spent 1.5 years on it. Imagine if I worked on a casual game in that time. I might have already created two casual games by now. The point is that having a completed game looks better than not having one.
