Halo 3 leaked on Ebay!

Master Chief in Bubble Shield

Halo 3, which is quite possibly the most talked about game this year, is bound to drag controversy with it wherever it goes. The latest shindig appears to be an eBay Auction of Halo 3’s Australian version!

The seller managed to get his hands on two brilliant copies of Halo 3 and sold it for a whopping 149 Australian Dollars (Approximately 123 US Dollars). Apparently, Microsoft’s security has failed again. When IGN contacted Redmond, Microsoft’s pre-recorded answer was “no comment” to all questions, even when they were asked if Microsoft’s planning on buying all of Australia.

Well, the game comes out on September 25th for all us usual folks. Just… 14… more… days…

BioShock sequel confirmed!

Bioshock

Alright, c’mon. How can a game that has silenced so many critics not have a sequel? BioShock is being loudly touted as one of the greatest shooters ever, and to not make a sequel for it is just against gaming laws.

Take-Two Interactive’s Chief Executive Officer Ben Feder reportedly said when presenting his company’s financial report:

Our creative teams are delivering a strong and increasingly diverse product portfolio, including our successful new BioShock franchise.

BioShock “2” hasn’t been listed on Take-Two’s 2008 Fiscal Year line-up, which can either mean that it’s going to be released in 2009 or (worse,) later, or that it’ll be on next year’s November 2008 line-up. Certainly exciting!

Iron Man = Next Marvel Success

If there has ever been a doubt about what Marvel will do next with their “left-over” super heroes, put all your doubts to rest. Apparently Marvel can still make an amazing piece of work that will both please fans and general movie goers. Unlike Ghost Rider, Elektra, and all the other crappy super hero films that Marvel has put out in recent years, Iron Man looks to be the most amazing film to come out of Marvel’s vaults since the original Spider-Man film back in 2001! The worst part about the Iron Man movie is that we’ll have to wait till next year to see it in theaters.
Watch and drool of the trailer RIGHT NOW!

Indiana Jones IV’s official title revealed by Shia LaBeouf

Indiana Jones IV

… and the title is Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Yep, sounds like a perfect Indy title. A little cheesy, in my opinion, but it’s perfectly Indiana Jones. But considering the length of the title, I won’t be surprised if most people continue to call it by its working title, Indiana Jones IV.

The title was unveiled by Shia LaBeouf, who will star in the movie alongside ol’ Indiana Jones, Harrison Ford himself. The grand unveiling took place at the MTV Video Music Awards.

The movie is geared for a (mostly) international release on May 22, 2008 (May of course, in LucasArts tradition). Spielberg is directing here, with George Lucas and Kathleen Kennedy serving as Executive Producers.

This is the woman who sabotaged your fantasy of finishing Halo 3 first.

Francesca Reyes

Admit it, you’ve probably dreamed of playing a video game before anyone else does in the whole world. Of finishing the game before anyone has laid their eyes on it. Perhaps it was Halo 3 in your fantasy – Microsoft’s massively-promoted shooter for the Xbox 360. Well, you certainly won’t be a little envious of the woman in the photo above.

That’s Francesca Reyes – the first person in the world to completely, wholly, entirely finish Halo 3 (excluding Bungie/Microsoft staff members, of course). Of course, you must be left wondering as to why God made her the Chosen One. She an editor-in-chief of the Official Xbox Magazine. Well, all I can say is that, if I were given the opportunity she was, I’d be grinning like that too.

She’s going to write a massive 10-page review in OXM, since well, this is one of the most highly-awaited and godamnit, I can’t even begin to emphasize Halo 3’s importance! She has been bombarded with questions and the only thing she’s managed to say is that there is a very large variety of levels in Halo 3’s missions. She’s also revealed that:

  • Halo 3 won’t be “4 hours” long.
  • The campaign’s ending “isn’t Halo 2”.
  • It’s going to be a “very Halo” game.

Man, that’s certainly informative. Just wait for the 10-page review, folks.

Sony Teaches Reviewers How To Do Their Job

Wow, thanks Sony. It is just what I asked for Santa!

The guy up there is IGN´s own Greg Miller, that in his hands is a Lair Review Guide that Sony sent him and many that, like Greg, reviewed Lair. (coincidentally they all gave the dragon flying game a “bad” score)

This move by Sony is not only desperate and completly riduculous, but it is also kind of offensive to the professionals that are being told what to do like the problem is with them and not with Lair.
