Finally, Halo 3 leaked to the Internets

Master Chief has gotten leaked

Now, normally the guys who play games before their release dates are labelled “weirdos” and most people respectfully wait for the full version of the game to come out. It appears that with Halo 3, the situation is quite the opposite – play Halo 3 after September 25th and be ready to be labelled “weirdo”!

As would be expected of any big-budget production, Halo 3 has been leaked to the massive world of BitTorrent in a 6.14 GB torrent. You may now stop writing death threats against those who got Halo 3 before the release date and go do something equally illegal now.

Oh, and don’t forget to seed, you greedy bastard.

Leak of the Day 2: AO Manhunt 2 leaked onto BitTorrent sites

Manhunt 2 screenshot

Manhunt 2 became the next game after GTA: San Andreas to hit mainstream news because of its “Adult-Only” labeling and subsequent banning in several countries. Now, Rockstar has a reputation of such things, but it didn’t want any more. It immediately announced that Manhunt 2 will be revised and toned down to get a Mature rating.

But before Rockstar could say “Don’t ban us”, their Adult-Only version of Manhunt 2 hit the internets. Now all hell has broken loose on BitTorrent sites, as that’s where the (supposedly)secret AO version of Manhunt 2 is. Again, details on who made the leak and what Rockstar is going to do them, as well as whether they will use torture or just mutilation on them is unknown.

According to “Team Slonik”, who got the game onto the Internet, the game is a beta, and so you shouldn’t be complaining. But if you prefer a more complete (and cleaner) game of Manhunt 2, wait for the official release on October 31st, for the Wii, PS2 and PSP consoles.

Halo 3 leaked on Ebay!

Master Chief in Bubble Shield

Halo 3, which is quite possibly the most talked about game this year, is bound to drag controversy with it wherever it goes. The latest shindig appears to be an eBay Auction of Halo 3’s Australian version!

The seller managed to get his hands on two brilliant copies of Halo 3 and sold it for a whopping 149 Australian Dollars (Approximately 123 US Dollars). Apparently, Microsoft’s security has failed again. When IGN contacted Redmond, Microsoft’s pre-recorded answer was “no comment” to all questions, even when they were asked if Microsoft’s planning on buying all of Australia.

Well, the game comes out on September 25th for all us usual folks. Just… 14… more… days…

Sony’s reputation sinks further. (Includes Wikipedia, Halo 3, Infinity Ward and bad English)

Halo 3

It appears that Sony is really in quite a ditch. If their lunatic antics aren’t enough for you, here’s some more. Reportedly, a Sony staff member has been caught editing a Wikipedia page. What’s so embarrasing? The page in question is the Halo 3 page.

A sorry staffer at Sony Liverpool is the origin of a hate comment against Microsoft’s great Halo 3. The comment in question says:

Although it wont look any better than Halo 2.

Talk about that. He didn’t even bother punctuating the ‘wont’. Pfft. Don’t look at me like that, I’m not the only one who doesn’t like Sony’s English. Ask Grant Collier, one of the big guys at Infinity Ward, makers of the upcoming Call of Duty 4. In an interview, Grant says:

With Microsoft we’ve got the advantage of them being an American company so our level of accessibility to them is much better than Sony. I’m not disparaging Sony in any way, but it’s just that they [Microsoft] speak English, we speak English. I know ten or fifteen guys over there and I can just call up and find out what new special sauce is coming around… I would really like to have that level of relationship with Sony. We’re really pushing for that and it’s a personal goal of mine to get there but I think there’s very few companies that have that level of relationship with Sony. After we come out with CoD4 I hope that we’ll be one of them.

Poor Sony. I’m actually starting to feel sympathetic for a corporation. I wonder what they’ll do next!

Ubisoft’s Holiday Idea: Release 4 great games for free!

 Free Boxes!

Ubisoft has moved up on my Nice Corporations Chart by a few spots, because of their generous Santa Clause act. Ubisoft has just released four of their games, Far Cry, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, Rayman Raving Rabbids and Ghost Recon! Note that these games are ad-supported, though. But I wouldn’t mind seeing some ads when I’m getting Far Cry for freaking free! Download the games without that feeling of guilt from Fileshack:

Finally, somebody who listens to us poor gamers without the systems to run Crysis or BioShock. 🙂

Less Shows but Same Content

One of the key things that I think our media player The Pipeline has struggled with is the fact that it has so many shows. The way that they are currently listed in the Channel Guide almost overwhelms any user. I’ve gone through and cleaned up the Channel Guide, merging shows together such as the Xbox 360 and PS3 trailers to form the Video Games show. While simplifying the Channel Guide, I tried to avoid lowering the amount of content available in each show. The Channel Guide also now lists the shows in a way that they are more so related to one another.

Remember to click on the Channel Guide button, in the upper left hand corner, to view all the different shows available on The Pipeline. Simply click on the title and you can start watching hours of content.
