Beating Microsoft to the punch, Apple is releasing their new operating system this Friday. While I understand a great deal of the readers on this website likely aren’t on Macs, I am(often to my chagrin when it comes to reviewing games). This new OS isn’t so much a jump forward in new features as it is a refinement of the old operating system.
The operating system takes Leopard and makes it quicker and less stressful on the computer. The aim of this new OS is efficiency. Less memory used for the OS, quicker performance, faster boot times and shut down. Overall it’s not a huge jump, but because of that the OS itself isn’t a huge cost. Upgrading from Leopard to it’s snowy cousin only costs 30 dollars. The one Caveat? It’s only available for Intel based Macs.
I look forward to this new OS quite a bit as my Mac Mini isn’t quite the fastest thing out there and is running quite low on memory. The price point itself helps a great deal too, not making it hurt as much when you shell out for something that really could just be added in a software update.
Wow, I’m soooo excited over the new upgrade Snow Leopard for Mac. I’ve been using Mac for work for many years now and this new surprise arrival is very much accepted and long awaited. Thanks MAC. The prices I think are pretty reasonable. What do other people think of this? I would love to get some feedback. Thank you and have a great day and enjoy your new Snow Leopard upgrade.
It’s a nice post, but I see stuff like this all over the net. I just wonder if it’s gotten too big that you can t even find anything new and interesging anymore. Nice post, tho..
