[Update: Tony Stark aka Iron Man in The Incredible Hulk video]

***IRON MAN SPOILERS BELOW***

If you, like me, missed the final scene of the movie because you wanted to blog about it had more important things to do, you need not fear! The ending scene has been leaked to the Internets! Check it out above! For more info on what’s going on, who’s SHIELD, what Samuel L. Jackson is doing there and what Tony Stark will most likely be getting into in Iron Man 2, hit the jump!

In the Marvel Universe, SHIELD stands for Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division (at least, according to the Iron Man movie). As mentioned in the movie, it’s a secret intelligence agency, but what we didn’t know was that it specializes in counter-terrorism and heh, superhuman threats.

In the trailer, we have all the awesomeness of Samuel L. Jackson saying that Iron Man has just begun. He plays Nick Fury, a cigar-chomping super-spy for SHIELD. While he’s supposed to be a good guy, we’re all for an Iron Man-Nick Fury (or rather, Iron Man-Samuel L. Jackson) war.

So this hints at what we should expect in the next movie. Also, this just in – Marvel has officially announced that Iron Man 2 will be hitting theatres April 30th 2010. Sorry folks, no Iron Man goodness next year. :D

Also keep an eye out for The Avengers, which Marvel has slated for July 2011, which must also feature Iron Man (albeit in a team-player sort of role).

Can’t wait for these!

[The previously included video has had to be taken offline as lawyers came knocking on our door. Sorry!]

Expect this scene to show up in the upcoming Thor and Captain America movies slated for 2010 and 2011 all to lead up to the Avengers movie. Iron Man is currently planned to be a trilogy

Iron Man was practically flawless as a super hero flick; its makers drop some pretty obvious sequel hints too… i’m thinking the next one should be equally great

“The Avenger Initiative”?????? So they’re gonna jump right into “The Initiative” and start registering superpowers?

It’ll be a while before any Avengers movie is made. Probably sometime well after 2010.

For those of you who don’t know Nick Fury and SHIELD from the Olden Days, SHIELD originally stood for Supreme Headquarters, International Espionage, Law-Enforcement Division and was changed to Strategic Hazard Intervention, Espionage Logistics Directorate in the early 90s. Nick Fury was originally a Sergeant and commando squad leader in the US Army during WWII and turned up as a Colonel in the 1960s running SHIELD. Samuel L Jackson is an interesting choice for the role…it chances his ethnicity but Jackson will certainly do the role justice.
