Chevrolet Equinox

Cast your eyes on the car above folks, because we might all be driving one like it in the future. It’s called the Chevrolet Equinox Fuel Cell and has been given the Green Car Journal’s Green Car Award for a vehicle that successfully “envisions the road ahead,” for its fuel cell propulsion system.

It is perhaps the most eco-friendly car around as the vehicle’s only emission is water vapour, and you can get your hands on it.

The environmentally-friendly Chevvy, which beat off several other cars to scoop the  award has a service life of 50,000 miles and can even start in sub-zero temperatures. Handy if you ever take a sojourn to the North Pole.

Even better is that it can go for 200 miles before a fill up. It’s no slouch for a green car either because it can reach a top speed of 100 miles, speed freaks.

If anyone’s interested, over 100 of the cars are being produced for consumers as part of the world’s biggest fuel cell test fleet.
