Shwood Canby Wood Walnut Grey Polarized Sunglasses Review

The minute I saw the Shwood container box I knew I was in for a treat. The style was on point. Opening the travel case, which is made from recycled chipboard, and reading the tagline “experiment with nature” I thought, “damn these Schwood sunglasses have serious class”.

Quality isn’t something that is  easy to find. When you discover eyewear that’s handcrafted with care, your face glows. That’s the feeling I had when I put on the Shwood Canby Wood Walnut Grey Polarized Sunglasses.

What’s impressive is when you see threw the lenses you get an unparalleled clarity. It’s like going from standard definition TV to high definition TV. They’re made with Premium CR39 lens. Since they’re polarized they offer 100% protection against UVA/UVB rays. Your eye doctor will love you. The elimination of harsh glare from the world around you makes you want to go out and explore the world to see it in a way you haven’t before. The size of the lens wrap around a good amount of your peripheral vision so you lose the sense that you’re wearing glasses in the first place.

You might read that these Canby Wood sunglasses are made from premium grade hardwood and worry that they’re heavy on your ears or nose. Don’t worry they’re lightweight and completely comparable to the weight of any other pair of sunglasses. This packed with also their ultra-thin aluminum stringers help keep your face cool and allow more skin breathability.

Shwood sunglasses are a step above the rest. All Shwood eyewear is treated with Shwood’s secret blend of non-allergenic, organic waxes and oils and sealed with with light shellac finish. All of this is done to help the wood maintain a proper moisture balance needed to prevent drying out and/or cracking while also helping to repel water.

The Canby Wood is Shwood’s flagship model. It’s a timeless look built with quality and luxury.

Samsung Infinity Flex Foldable Phone Thoughts

Today Samsung announced that they will begin manufacturing a phone with their new Samsung Infinity Flex display. This will allow for a foldable smartphone. I think the big question other than what is the price, is what app will be useful to use with this design? Maps, gaming, watching videos, etc. could be a lot more entertaining on a larger screen, but will they make you the buy a foldable phone?

Polar M430 Review

You ever check your wrist and realize there’s nothing on it? It might be time to get a smartwatch. Sure a regular watch can tell time, but a smartwatch can do so many more things. That level of complexity usually causes the  interface to be confusing.

The Polar M430 rethinks the entire process and makes it easy to get to the basics. Instead of a touch screen where you swipe all over the place to figure out where to go, you have five buttons on the side of the watch to navigate. The two on the left control brightness and go home. The three on the right go up and down as well as enter. This concept is quick and easy to grasp.

By default the watch tells you the date and time. You can switch it to heart rate tracking, steps, timers, etc. Personally I found the continuous heart rating tracking to be fascinating to watch. I’m used to my smartphone tracking my heart rate for a couple seconds when I tell it to, but to have a smartwatch that is able to follow the beat whenever and for however long  is pretty neat.

The Polar M430 is light weight and not bulky. It feels like a normal watch that you’ll wear whether or not your doing a fitness activity. With the screen always being on, I was worried that the battery life would be poor. In my findings the battery can last for several days. With the Polar M430 also being waterproof you won’t have to constantly take it on and off.

If you’re looking for a smartwatch that enhances your fitness data and is easy to use the Polar M430 could be the one for you.
