Titan Maximum does the Robot Chicken with Voltron

I know some people are getting sick of Robot Chicken, or think it’s in a decline, but I still love the show. Which is why I’m looking forward to their next project, Titan Maximum. It’s a show that parodies Voltron, and other science-fiction cartoons and shows from the past.

The show still features stop animation as it’s primary form of animation, but uses new puppets rather than action figures for the characters. The art style appears to be very much like that of Moral Orel, which was done in the same studios where Robot Chicken is shot.

The show is described as follows:

As the series opens, the team has been disbanded due to budget cuts, but must hastily reassemble when a former team member turns rogue and tries to conquer the solar system with an assault of giant monsters. Now, the fate of humanity rests in the hands of a team of dysfunctional misfits commanding a rustbucket robot.

The series is created by Seth Green, Tom Root, and Matthew Senreich, all of whom write on Robot Chicken, and will be doing so on Titan Maximum. Green will also be voicing the villain in the series, Breckin Meyer, Rachael Leigh Cook, Dan Milano and Eden Espinosa, who all have either done voices in the past for Robot Chicken, or still do.

The new stills look interesting to say the least, but the show’s most important aspect will be it’s writing, and that won’t be really experienced until the show premiers on Adult Swim September 27th. I’ll be watching it without a doubt.
