Batman: Arkham Asylum is Delayed for PC

On the bright side, it will feature PhysX support. Yay.

No, don’t worry, we aren’t talking about a StarCraft II delay or a BioShock 2 delay here, the game still comes out in 2009. While the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions will be arriving later this month (on the 25th, to be precise), the PC version will be out next month, i.e. the 15th of September.

The game will now support nVidia’s PhysX technology, so you can probably see Batman’s cape flap around more realistically. Personally I don’t care (largely because I don’t have a PhysX-enabled nVidia card, being an ATi guy), but I’m glad so long as the game isn’t going to be pushed down further into the next year.

So far it doesn’t appear to have affected the PC demo of the game, which will be coming out Friday, which is… today. Hmm.
