The balance board has a home at the side of the TV and makes a tempting ebay item, unused and unwanted. What happened in those three weeks to make the savior of your health and fitness goals turn into handy plant stand?

To understand this we must start with the first principle of why you bought Wii-Fit. Most people are not too concerned at how much they weigh, don’t care what their BMI is, or know what BMI means. In my experience most people are driven by the promise of a trim, attractive body without all the flabby bits. Yes, exercise offers the chance to be young and sexy again, but there is a cost, you actually have to do it and over an extended period of time. When starting out with exercise you have a clear idea of how you want to look and your motivation and enthusiasm is at an all time high. However, the results are slow in coming, you cannot see any changes in the mirror and the scales haven’t budged, but and the effort and pain are real and immediate.

I would unabashedly list Deus Ex as one of the most underrated games ever, because I personally hold it as the greatest video game made yet. This comes as joyous news to hear that Deus Ex will be an officially free and legal download next week! That’s right: free body augmentations, global conspiracies and paranoia for all!

Prince of Persia: Prodigy takes a Fresh New Direction

With Assassin’s Creed well out of the way, Ubisoft Montreal proceeds to their most favourite action-adventure franchise: Prince of Persia. The new PoP, rumoured to be completely next-gen and titled Prodigy was thrown open at Ubidays and lots of new information has been uncovered.

New Far Cry 2 trailer, info

Ubidays is on, and there are plenty of games from Ubisoft’s stable that are attractive. There’s Tom Clancy’s EndWar, Tom Clancy’s H.A.W.K., the next-gen Prince of Persia, the newly announced Beyond Good & Evil 2, and of course: the sequel to 2004’s prodigal success, Far Cry.

We now have more info on Far Cry 2, on which we reported earlier. Now, Ubisoft has released a trailer and lots more screenshot goodness for the masses. There’s also quite a bit of info floating around which we will sink our teeth into, right after the jump.

BioWare CEO: More Licensed and Original Games coming

BioWare, pretty much a juggernaut in the RPG section of the games industry made waves with Mass Effect, and have no intention of stopping just yet. BioWare is already on a roll with several titles under development, such as the sequel to Mass Effect, their original IP Dragon Age and the unannounced, top-secret BioWare-LucasArts “interactive product” thing.

Ray Muzyka, CEO of BioWare talked in an interview about Mass Effect, working on original or licensed IP and what’s up with Mass Effect with a hint of Dragon Age in the mix. Hit the jump to find out the details!
