So Halo DS was Real? People weren’t actually on Shrooms?

Remember back to the days of yester-year, when Halo on the Nintendo DS rumors were running rampant. Of course no one had any proof at the time so the rumors died down.

Funny enough with the release of Halo 3 the rumors have sprung up again only to be 100% CONFIRMED by IGN.com. Of course it’s too late, this title will never see the light of day. It has been canceled – for some reason IGN, the developer, the publisher, nor Microsoft will say why.

Here’s some detailed video on the game works. Keep in mind that while the graphics are very bland – this was still in production. The developer most likely was no where near finalizing the graphics engine.

Ugly Xbox 360 Controller Colors

The new Xbox 360 pink and blue colored controllers are FINALLY here… Fabulous. Now you can play with your controller as if it wasa crappy plastic chew toy.

If Microsoft really wanted to make new colors, make them cool. Everyone remember when clear white came out on the Nintendo 64? If you had one of those you were the shitz of the gamer community. Microsoft please learn from the past.

Project Gotham Racing 4 audio interview

This is not funny clown

Sure, most of the time we have to read through interviews, even though nobody ever really wants to. That’s why podcasts were invented, so everyone could numbly listen to the talking heads while doing whatever it was that oh so dear to them. Then some geniuses tried to ruin it by adding video on it.

The guys over at Gamertag Radio did us all a huge favor and clocked in a 28 minute interview with Bizarre Creations, the guys developing the racing game. While that may be long for most of you, just drive circles around your destination or brush your teeth some more to finish listening in.

Rumour 2: Bungie splits from Microsoft?

Halo 3 launch

All this talk of rumours has me convinced that something big is going to happen real soon. But right now, let’s talk about the rumour specifically:

A guy from Seattle Post Intelligencer Blogs is running around the streets with a doomsday sign in his hands and saying that Bungie has split from their beloved publisher and surrogate mother, Microsoft. Bungie’s record-breaking video game seemingly pleased the big daddy enough to let them be set free.

Microsoft has supposedly chosen not to announce this right now, as it would hurt their quarterly sales of their already well-sold Halo 3. And about the future of Bungie?

They are now an independent entity, no longer licking Microsoft’s shoes. However, Microsoft still owns the Halo franchise, so if anything Halo is going to happen, it’s coming from Microsoft. However, it has been mentioned that Bungie might be interested in making a Halo 4.

I say for heaven’s sake, no! The Halo series has been completed with the end of the trilogy. Something like Halo Wars, sure! But please no Halo 4. 🙁

Rock Band = $169.99

Rock Band

EA’s upcoming Rock Band game will cost a whopping $169.99 for the Xbox 360/PS3 versions and $159.99 for the PS2 version. You might be asking yourself why would you want to pay that much for one game, well you’re paying for a ton of accessories to actually play the game. All the packages will include the game, the drum kit, one guitar, and one microphone.

Besides the graphical difference between the Xbox 360/PS3 version compared to the PS2, the PS2 version is coming out later on December 10, 2007 while the Xbox 360/PS3 versions are coming out November 26, 2007. The PS2/PS3 versions will feature wireless controllers, while the Xbox 360 will be wired. EA might have to release some USB device to create 4 ports.

Considering that Guitar Hero III will cost $90-100, Rock Band’s price doesn’t look that bad for the amount of devices that the player receives. Since the accessories were probably made in China, hopefully they won’t feature lead paint.

Internet TV is FINALLY Here

Internet TV

For Windows Vista users that have Media Center, Microsoft has released a new addition called Internet TV. This new section includes tons of TV shows, news, trailers and so much more. It’s great because it’s relatively high quality and it’s all free! Watching entertaining ads for 5-10 seconds and having the video load almost instantaneously is amazing.

Now another cool feature with this is the ability to sync with a Media Extender such as your Xbox 360. You can now watch TV shows on your Xbox 360 without paying for them.

I’ve talked about IPTV previously and as I said it totally rocks.
