Action! Adventure! Romance! It’s Zorro! Most people know who Zorro is, whether it’s from his early days in comics and silent films or more recently in movies starring Antonio Banderas. In 1957, Walt Disney produced an exciting TV series based on the Zorro character that is fun and entertaining to watch even 52 years after its epic premiere.
From the Walt Disney Treasures collection, the first two seasons of Zorro are available for the first time on DVD. Each set comes with 39 half-hour episodes that have been digitally remastered for the ultimate viewing experience.
Each set includes an introduction by film critic Leonard Maltin who provides insight and trivia about the history and making of the series. As a fan of classic TV, I found these segments quite interesting.
As you watch, look for guest appearances from actors like Cesar Romero and Rita Moreno among others who grace the Zorro set with their presence.
This series is a lot of fun and includes some great special features. Along with each season being in a special tin box, you also get the following:
