Latest ad from Halo 3’s “Believe” campaign

Add The Pipeline: Entertainment Within a Box to your page

Halo 3’s release date is teetering closer and closer! There is no doubt that September 25th will be a day to be remembered for us gamers!

Continuing in the line of extravagant advertisements for Halo 3, we have the latest (and perhaps the last?) ad from the “Believe” campaign of ads. This one also takes place in the weird humanity museum and we see two war veterans talk about the weapons they used. Both seem eccentrically uneasy, though. One of them almost has a tear in his eye as he mentions (the sacrifice of?) ‘Chief.

Stay tuned, Xbox 360 owners! It’s just the day after tomorrow now!

Review: Mr. Lifeless

arg

Hello all. I am going to review this site’s own short film series… “Mr. Lifeless”. My first problem is the title. The first episode begins with the title character running away from the police. We do not know why. What we do know is this: Having no life is not against the law… so this man has had to have committed a crime or been framed for something. Does this hurt the series? Not really. Well personally for me I can never watch it again because I am so outraged, but for normal people… I don’t think anyone will care. Anywhos…

The film is quick and intense. It is very fast paced, lots of running, quick cuts and some intense stunts involving a car that put Death Proof to shame. It will fill your life with a fun 30+ seconds. Well… a boring 20 minutes (the frickin load time for the dumb pipeline) and then a fun 30 + seconds. To summarize… Mr. Lifeless…. hardly… Mr. Lifemore… Yes.

Reformatted Videos section

StuffWeLike’s Video page has now evolved into an easy to navigate video section. Rather than searching through the Channel Guide for that one hard to find show, there’s a new navigation system to the right of the player that breaks down The Pipeline into several categories. Choose your category and then the show that you want to watch.

It’s much more straight forward to use than ever before!

Finally, Halo 3 leaked to the Internets

Master Chief has gotten leaked

Now, normally the guys who play games before their release dates are labelled “weirdos” and most people respectfully wait for the full version of the game to come out. It appears that with Halo 3, the situation is quite the opposite – play Halo 3 after September 25th and be ready to be labelled “weirdo”!

As would be expected of any big-budget production, Halo 3 has been leaked to the massive world of BitTorrent in a 6.14 GB torrent. You may now stop writing death threats against those who got Halo 3 before the release date and go do something equally illegal now.

Oh, and don’t forget to seed, you greedy bastard.

Dog swallows Wiimote, Sony not involved (as of now)

Labrador Retriever

The Becknell family from Loveland, CO was leading a normal day when suddenly their 3 year old Labrador Retriever started vomiting blood. A visit to the friendly vet showed that there was a freaking remote inside the dog’s belly. But the Becknells made the mistake of thinking it was just another ordinary remote. Turns out that there was also a Wiimote. That might also explain the many bugs the family faced when they turned on their regular copy of Wii Sports, and how the dog was able to mentally win every tennis match.

The dog had chewed the old family remote “into little pieces and that wasn’t the mass in the X-ray.” Eventually, the Wiimote surfaced. As you can expect, the parents got angry, the vet got money, the dog breathed a sigh of relief (and despairs at having lost his cheat) and the kid got blamed. The poor kid has lost two weeks’ worth allowance to pay for a new remote.

When contacted, the dog denied any connection with Sony. Sony representatives threw rocks at us when we tried to contact them. I think there’s no corporate politics involved here.
