This is a fascinating IndieGoGo campaign for a smartwatch that powers itself. As we all know, one of the worst things about smartwatches it that you have to take them off to charge them. The Matrix PowerWatch 2 features two ways of charging with thermoelectric generators and all-new solar-cell technology. This should generate more than enough energy to operate the built-in intelligent heart rate monitor, wherever, whenever.

The Polar M430 rethinks the entire process and makes it easy to get to the basics. Instead of a touch screen where you swipe all over the place to figure out where to go, you have five buttons on the side of the watch to navigate. The two on the left control brightness and go home. The three on the right go up and down as well as enter. This concept is quick and easy to grasp.
By default the watch tells you the date and time. You can switch it to heart rate tracking, steps, timers, etc. Personally I found the continuous heart rating tracking to be fascinating to watch. I’m used to my smartphone tracking my heart rate for a couple seconds when I tell it to, but to have a smartwatch that is able to follow the beat whenever and for however long is pretty neat.
The Polar M430 is light weight and not bulky. It feels like a normal watch that you’ll wear whether or not your doing a fitness activity. With the screen always being on, I was worried that the battery life would be poor. In my findings the battery can last for several days. With the Polar M430 also being waterproof you won’t have to constantly take it on and off.

The Magnet Base Cable Wrangler is a designer-like solution to cable management. It’s both sexy and easy to use. The base unit is a small mound shape that helps elevate your cable above a table. It stores the magnet that will help stick your included cable firmly to this soft fabric material. Since it has a good amount of weight, the unit could additionally act like a paper weight.
The included Lightning cable is made of a similar color and fabric to the base unit. Silk has magnetized both ends of the cable so you can place either end on the base unit. Can’t believe it has been a year since I got my Samsung Galaxy S8. I’ve dropped it many times with it wrapped up in the Q Card Case and it still looks and works great.
I’ve just got my hands on their The Q Card Case Wallet Slayer Vol. 2. case for the Samsung Galaxy S9. The phone has very subtle design changes, but you’ll still need a new case. Based on my experience with last year’s case I see no reason why not to recommend this new case. The case is very similar to last year’s design, but includes some improvements.
The grip texture is more defined along the edges. The back slot to hold your credit cards also has a more rough texture finish to it. All of this equates into a case that is less likely to slip out of your hands. On the inside of the case you’ll see more air pockets along the sides and the top is more rigid and defined. This should help soften the impact from a drop.
The Samsung Galaxy S9 is a beautiful phone so you’ll want a case that reflects and protects that beauty. The Q Card Wallet Slayer Vol. 2 case remains as classy and practical as before.
