Brightcove 3

As I’ve been previously reporting, Brightcove is going to be releasing major service enhancements later this year. According to the press release, Brightcove is focusing on three aspects contextual publishing, long-form content, and accelerating the productivity producers with new tools.

Brightcove 3 will be available to the masses in Fall. It is currently in beta and being used by Showtime, Lifetime, and several others. You can sign up to receive notfication on Brightcove 3’s update here.

Hopefully we’ll get our hands on it sooner rather than later! Yo Brightcove talk to me. 😉

Youtube Uploads 1024 megabytes!!!

Youtube has increased the maximum upload capacity for videos from 100 megabytes to 1024 megabytes! This increase will allow for some major high resolution videos to be viewed on the mega-video site. Additionally video producers can upload multiple videos at once using an extra downloadable software pack.

Videos still have the 10 minute cap.

In other related news Youtube launched a new feature called Youtube Annotations.

Youtube Annotations

Youtube has added a new feature called Annotations! This is awesome for video producers because it allows you to write notes on your video! Include popup text with links and you can have some major kick ass videos! Imagine you say a URL – now you can write it out in the video and provide a link to it for viewers to click on during the video!

This is fantastic thanks Youtube!

Live Video Play Through of Ninja Gaiden II

The playthrough is over and man it’s a good button smasher! The only dowfall is that I’m stuck on the second level boss. I don’t have enough health to beat him. I guess that’s what I deserve after running through the level without destroying enemies…You are warned!

American Gladiator becomes Command & Conquerized

Video games with sex appeal have always sold extremely well. Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 apparently plans on going even more over the top in that department than ever before. Below is a shot of Gina Carano as the Soviet Natasha. Remember boys the video cut scenes will be shown in high definition!

“The last year has been such a whirlwind for me, from everything that’s happening with EliteXC this weekend to American Gladiators and now with EA and Red Alert 3,” said Carano. “Natasha is such a cool, powerful character, her actions definitely speak louder than her words which is something I definitely identify with.
