There’s something so poetically unjust in the fact that The Brain can never get one of his megalomaniacal schemes of world domination to work. He tries so hard, thinks up overly-elaborate plans, and still, like Wile E. Coyote, can never catch that proverbial Road Runner. Whom can we blame for his failings? Read the rest of this entry »

In my “Favourite Movies” list, I always dutifully add “Ghost in the Shell”, because it is that good a movie. It is also the prime example I give to the sort of people to judge animation movies incapable to telling serious, intelligent stories. Ghost in the Shell is a work of art, a cinematic masterpiece, no less.
And it’s going to be remade, by Spielberg’s very own Dreamworks. Hit the jump to find out what the hell.

And on the other side of the movie spectrum, we have an adventure movie that actually kicks butt! Indiana Jones is back (”You call him Dr. Jones!”) and he’s kicking ass major. If you still had any doubts as to whether Harrison Ford can be old and hot at the same time, they are about to be silenced!
Things are looking fantastically crisp and classic, and I think it’s safe to say that we’re in for one hell of a ride here! I can’t wait for the movie to release on May 22nd!
Not fond of YouTube? Check it out in HD at 480p and 720p!

Almost exactly a year ago, the guys at Bloody Disgusting posted news about a possible Poltergeist remake, but nothing was official and so they just got a bit laughed at. But they were persistent and they continued to claim that the remake is for real, even after Spielberg denied it. This time, they seem to have confirmation that the 1982 horror classic is going to be resurrected. It’s going to be a post-strike movie, under production at MGM (which Bloody Disgusting reported amidst the rumours long ago).
BD doesn’t have any concrete proof, however, including no official announcement. They are “100% certain”, but I’d like to see some hard proof. Bloody Disgusting has informed us to wait for 2008 for more news. Yeah, I’ll just go drink coffee.
