It has been reported that the second trailer for J.J. Abrams Star Trek feature film will be tagged onto US prints of the new James Bond movie on its cinema release. This could be seen as a bonus for US audiences as it is yet to be seen if it will be included in other markets since the US will only be getting Bond after the UK and China.
Previously a teaser trailer was released showing only the building of a Starfleet ship which appeared to be very much against Star Trek cannon and caused a general outcry by trekkies the world over in comment pages. The remarks made this week by Trek helmer Abrams stating he is a Star Wars, and not Star Trek fan will only inflame opinions. Adding to the general pessimism surrounding the new film made primarily for audiences who have not watched any Star Trek before. While not confirmed it should be expected that within a week of Bond’s US release date the Star Trek trailer will be online in the usual places like Apple’s Quicktime trailer site.
Finally, after months of hearing nothing about this film there are now 6 new pictures that have hit the web!
If these don’t tickle your geekiness, nothing will ever make you happy in life. This film looks to have it all. Awesome special effects, an epic adventure, drama, and who knows what else!
All I can say is that I can’t believe I got to be an extra on this film. Wow, just wow.
The game that was flip flopping all over the place, apparently is actually being made. Yeah and it doesn’t look that bad either!
I honestly can’t wait. The game takes place 30 years after Nemesis. You get to work your way up to Captain. You get to control your character across planets, go aboard your ship, and then fly it around space.
Create your own race or go with a race we’ve already seen (Humans, Vulcans, and everyone else). Customize your ships and characters. At launch you can be part of Star Fleet or the Klingon Empire. Combat, exploration, tactical actions are all here.
The graphics look solid for an MMO.
Still no news on when it will be released. Below is the video conference held by the developer Cryptic Studios at the Star Trek Convention in Las Vegas.
