Spore - Pay to create (with expansions)

Remember being charged through the nose for expansion backs to the first two Sims games? Well EA are at it again only this time it looks that their next cash cow is to be Spore.
Yes, the long awaited title (by some) has been said to have expansion packs already in the works including an idea that you create your own plant life. So you can shell out around $40 to make a tree with a few odd bits coming out of the middle. We can only imagine queues longer than Halo or GTA will line up to be the first to buy that one.
Be that as it may there are some benefits. Since EA will be wanting to make more money from the product with the expansions you can hope that patches to update the game will be more frequent. This would be down to the company having Spore listed as a current title and not one of the back catalogue as soon as it’s release date has passed.
