The picture quality in this release is outstanding. For such an old film it’s very impressive just how much detail has been sourced from the original print. It obviously doesn’t hold a candle to a current movie filmed in HD but for something of the time it’s among the best transfers. The video is grainy but detailed with the only let downs coming from the original recorded sources where different shots provide varying visual quality.

Incredible Hulk extras sneak peak.

For those Hulk fans who liked the new version with Ed Norton a making-of video and a deleted scene are now online. We expect these to be from the upcoming DVD but you never know until the case hits the shelves. Out on DVD and Blu-ray 21st October in the US.

These videos wont be enough to change the minds of fans who went to see the movie and loved or hated it. It’s nice to know that The Incredible Hulk will be getting some extras unlike superhero movies released by some of the other studios in the past. The 2003 version of The Hulk also had a ton of extra features on the DVD so if you want a good comparison or a blast from the past it’s worth consideration.

While most didn’t like the 2003 feature with Eric Bana, if you watch it again without preconceptions it’s a slow, but interesting film.

In the UK? Vegas season 5 DTV

That’s right, if you are one of those people in the UK who have been waiting to see the fifth and last season of the US import Las Vegas then you have a choice to make. The cancelled show was not optioned by the local broadcaster Sky when it’s fifth season became available. The good news is that even though the season will not be coming to television screens soon it is coming out on DVD next month. So those wanting to see what happens in the final season need only decide if it’s worth going down to the local DVD store.

The 5th season boxset is out Region 2 on October 13th at £34.99 RRP. It isn’t really fair for those in international territories to be penalised for the ratings failures in another country. However it is good business to not buy a failing show even if you have committed to prior seasons. We can only hope that season 5 will be shown at a later date on more local broadcasters like Ireland’s RTE or TV3, for the UK ITV or Channel 5.
