Gran Turismo 5 full out in 2010, maybe.
For those people who liked the fact that they had to pay for
Gran Turismo 5 Prologue (aka demo) you will love this.
The guys at Joystiq ran into Gran Turismo creator Kazunori
Yamauchi at E3 this week. What he told them, while not official
is that GT5, the full version won’t be out to buy until 2010.
Given the huge delay between the release of Prologue in
Japan and then Europe it could mean 2011 for most territories.
So not only did you buy a demo for a game, those who shelled
out for Prologue. But when the full version Gran Turismo 5
comes out it will be based on a game engine and technology
several years old. Perhaps GT could be the new Duke Nuke with
a buy-to-play demo years before release of the final product.
It’s crazy enough after downloadable content to happen!
