Just a friendly reminder that on Monday the XBox Live service will be out of action for a full 24-hours. If you need a quick fix of Halo or Call of Duty on the console then now is really your last chance to get in some good times.
Microsoft are also running a few competitions this weekend to keep things buzzing before they go offline so it might be worth taking a look to see what’s going on. For PS3 users however all is normal and will continue to be so. It’s hard to imagine a world without XBL now especially with all the fanboys arguing that it’s a great service or that it’s bad you have to pay to play. Anyway, time is running out. For some the best XBL game will forever be Halo 2, but what do you think? As usual comments are always welcome here at SWL where gaming matters.

Anyone who has used the online auction service can tell you about how many one cent items there are. The catch always is they are attached to $30 or more delivery charges.
With the right amount of tweaking it’s possible to arrange items by price and location yet it is impossible to organise items by their postage cost. It’s hard to understand why such a service is not a standard feature as it would be a fantastic way to disrupt the services of scammers and those users who prey on others looking for a bargain. Imagine from your own point of view as a buyer seeing 200 copies of the same DVD listed for the same price over several pages. Instead of having to search through every single page looking for the one with the cheapest delivery price just choosing to arrange by that cost? It’s something long overdue on eBay and we hope it happens for the benefit of all you buyers out there.

The US Playstation blog has posted that the cards will be stocked in Blockbuster, 7-Eleven and Riteaid stores next month. This means for all those who have wanted to buy games or tv episodes on the PS3 can simply go into a local store and buy a pre-paid card. While not news to most adults to kids who want to buy things without a credit card on the PS3 now just have to go into a store and buy them. Thus removing the credit card security on a console issue.
We can be sure that the Playstation Network is going to see a huge number of purchases as soon as the cards existence begins to circulate more. There is one recommendable PSN game from Sony which is recommendable. It’s their Asteroids arcade shooter.
Feel free to go nuts about this in the comments section. Disclaimer: We do not condone any person “going nuts” where gaming, money, credit cards or children are concerned. It’s a legal thing.

I love it when a company is proactive in being New Media friendly. Give users your content whenever and where ever is so pleasing.

TheWB.com is aiming for just that. Going public Aug 27, TheWB.com features older WB shows along with new original web series. Not only will this content be available on TheWB.com - it will also be on Dailymotion, Joost, Sling Media, TiVo and Veoh Networks! They already have a Facebook application that allows users to share The WB content.
