It looks like the Professor only takes his tea in 2D.
Official Nintendo Magazine conducted an interview with Akihiro Hino, CEO of Level 5 (who made Professor Layton, duh) and prime question was this: considering the series’ popularity on the DS, will it be taken to the Wii? Because all the cool games are doing it, you know.
The answer is, to be short, not anytime soon. Hino says that there are no plans for a Wii release yet, but the DS development is still forging ahead quite well. The next title, Professor Layton and the Last Time Travel will be the last of the first trilogy, which will be succeeded by a second trilogy, whose first title is Professor Layton and the Flute of Malevolent Destiny.
