For everything that Microsoft does right it seems like they always have to take two steps back. This is one of those times.

The Twitter and Facebook applications for the Xbox 360 are actually going to be solely for Gold members. Aren’t these free Internet services? Does Microsoft really think people would purchase a Gold membership to use these features or are these services just another perk for current Gold members? Isn’t being a Gold member all about playing online video games? Share the goods Microsoft.
