Yep the future ain’t ad free, even if you pay for the Xbox Live service.

Later this year Microsoft will be introducing ads that use Silverlight, a Flash like application, onto Xbox 360’s all around the world. Sure there are tons of ads already on Xbox 360 dashboards, but now they’ll be even more interactive and media rich. It will allow ads with trailers and movies to be displayed in 1080p and 5.1 surround sound.

Sweet that’s exactly what I wanted to hear.
