G-Phoria 2008 Predictions
With yesterday’s airing of G4’s G-Phoria 2007 the video game award show where YOU decide the results, I’ve come up with a list of my predictions of next year’s winners based on this year’s Gears of War onslaught:
Best System: Xbox 360
Hottest Babe: Cortana
Best Strategy Game: Halo Wars
Best Action Game: Halo 3
Best Multiplayer Game: Halo 3
Best Downloadable Content: Halo 3
Best Voice Over: Master Chief (Halo 3)
Best Graphics: Halo 3
Best Soundtrack: Halo 3
Game Most Deserving Of An Peter Jackson Movie Adaptation: Halo 3
Game of the Year: Halo 3
Longest Lasting Game Award: Halo 3
So my question is what will G4 do in this situation? If Halo 3 lives up to expectations or is at least better than Halo 2 and hits record sales as predicated by Microsof, G-Phoria 2008 could be in for a Halo kill-tacular headshot. Will G4 swing the results to favor other games or will they create new categories that Halo can’t be a contestant in? Either way next year’s results show could be the most boring of them all.
