
Yep, that’s an MP3 player, not a glowstick. This new design concept was invented by Chris Williams, who was tired of traditional MP3 players. I agree with Chris – all those players are so friggin’ boring. Well, after you see this, that has to be the sort of reaction you’d make.
The concept, known as the “Musipen” is a cylindrically shaped and can be worn around the neck. Since it is cylindrical and not like an ugly brick, it has a screen that wraps all around. The controls only include twisting and sliding the ends of the player. It may seem ridiculously simple, but it’s a very good concept and then again, nobody (I hope) buys an MP3 player to do some other silly thing.
I think innovations like this are what the technology market needs. Look at the Wii’s sales figures and you’ll know that the innovative Wiimote system got it ahead. With something as cool, practical, simple and worthy of many more adjectives as this, you know things are going in the right direction.
