Movie Review: The Lego Movie

The Lego Movie

Everything is awesome about The Lego Movie! This fun, frenetic, self-referential, and hilarious flick is action-packed and a must-see for all ages. Whether you’re an adult now who played with Legos as a kid, or are someone who still loves building with them, The Lego Movie is right up your alley.

Chris Pratt as Emmett in The Lego Movie

The Lego Movie is a genuine rarity that offers up something for everyone in the audience from the first moments until the final credits roll. It’s a great movie that delivers a great message about creativity, non-conformity, and doing what you love.

Elizabeth Banks as Wyldstyle in The Lego Movie

With an amazingly talented cast that includes Chris Pratt, Elizabeth Banks, Will Arnett, Will Ferrell, Morgan Freeman, Jonah Hill, Liam Neeson, Charlie Day and more, The Lego Movie is also a visual feast for the eyes. Every moment is exceptional in its clever use of Lego, whether it be an explosion, smoke, water, etc.

The creative team behind the film – Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller – have crafted a remarkable film that’s not just another animated movie, it’s animated art.

Will Arnett as Batman in The Lego Movie

I really don’t know what else to say other than: SEE THIS MOVIE! It truly is one the funnest films I’ve seen in a long time, and a movie that delivers on all levels and never hits you with a false moment. It’s solid entertainment for the whole family!

I highly, highly, highly recommend The Lego Movie. I think you’ll agree with what I said at the beginning: Everything is awesome!

The Lego Movie is in theaters February 7, 2014!
