Is this Snow White the fairest in the land? Hell no! But it’s a pretty good attempt!
Visually speaking Snow White & The Huntsman is amazing. You can see that they really did try to make this film spectacular. Everything about it screams a wannabe Lord of the Rings film.
While it tries to hard to be as good as those films, it does have some major flaws with its story and character development. If the filmmakers had fixed these problems the movie would have been far more entertaining to watch. Literally once Snow White leaves the castle towards the beginning of the film things go downhill. That’s not to say that the rest of the film is bad, but it’s not as good.
The Bluray is jammed packed with special features such as an extended edition of the film (an extra 4 minutes), a digital copy and Ultraviolet copy, a second screen app, commentary, a 360 degree set tour, and many more behind the scenes videos.
If you were enchanted by this film when it hit theaters and you want to watch it again, then you should definitely pick the Bluray up. There is a lot of value within this package. However if you have yet to see Snow White & The Huntsman I would say rent it because at the end of the day you might not exactly enjoy the film.
