Philip K Dick’s ‘Now Wait For Last Year’ going to the big screen


Will this one be any good?

Prolific sci-fi writer Philip K Dick has been no stranger to having his many works translated to the medium of film. Many of Hollywood’s better-known sci-fi films have be spawned out of Dick’s brain – Minority Report, Blade Runner, A Scanner Darkly, and so on. Chalk up a new one to that list, it’s Philip K Dick’s ‘Now Wait For Last Year’ that will be gracing the screen shortly.

Screenplay is being written by one Ted Kupper, and the producers on board this project are Barrie M. Osborne, Cameron Lamb and Isa Dick Hackett (who is Philip K Dick’s daughter), who are busy searching for a director to helm the project. Production is expected to start in the third quarter of 2012, so it’s going to be a while before see even the trailers for this one. Still, if you’re Philip K Dick fan, that’s plenty to be excited about on the outset.
