Xbox 360’s New Dashboard Update launches December 6

We’ve been waiting months for its arrival and finally we’ll be able to do a shit load more with our Xbox 360. Sweet!

This is a significant Xbox LIVE service update, free to all console owners. You’ll receive the new dashboard user interface, more voice control functionality via the Kinect, and the first group of new entertainment custom applications such as YouTube!

As we saw at E3 2011 this new update is going to make your Xbox 360 feel brand new. It’s partially one of the reasons why I can’t imagine that we’ll receive the next-generation of Xbox in 2012. With the success of the Kinect and this new dashboard with all of its apps, the Xbox 360 is still fresh.

Microsoft has said that starting December 6 and continuing several months after that initial launch, a wealth of new content will be coming to Xbox 360. New, customized applications for televisions, movies, internet videos, sports and music will begin rolling out from world-leading providers in more than 20 countries.

Also, brand new personal and social features including Cloud Storage for Game Saves and LIVE Profile, Beacons and Facebook Sharing will launch with the Dec. 6 update, along with enhanced Family Settings.

We’ll show you what the new dashboard has to offer when it gets released in only a couple of weeks. Stay tuned!
